A milestone video; Our 1000 number one songs

A few weeks ago, as the 995th song topped the chart, I had the idea (well honestly it had been brewing for a while but didn't start it since then) of creating a video that would encompass the history of all number one songs.

This week, Benson Boone's "Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else" became the 1000th, so the video starts from the very first #1 "Magic" by Olivia Newton-John and ends with Boone's.

Making this video was not only an amazing experience but also it made me go through all life stages and I remember things that I went through when particular songs came up.

Thanks to all our subscribers for your constant support and love throughout the years, and see you soon when the 1001st song and beyond are crowned.

And I dare say, we were separated at birth. Our music taste has so many parallels & similarities, it's downright creepy. My two favorite artists of all time are Celine & Roxette with heavy doses of Madonna & Kylie & Debbie . And those are just the girls. And then the songs that come out of left field that don't seem to follow any pattern of taste will of course be one of my obscure loves too. Weird. My musical brother...or doppelganger...or clone. Whatever you call it, it's creepy. And utterly beautiful. 🥰

What charts are these songs from? I'm only up to 1981 and already there's groups such as The Nolans and Bucks Fizz who I've never seen on #1 compilations from the 1980s.
