Okay but in full honesty, Oh God Not Again is one of the most hysterical works of fanfiction I've ever read. Harry goes back in time, remembers everything, and instead of using that knowledge for the good of the wizarding world, he uses it to make money as a con artist. He hires Lockhart to be his agent. He claims that all his uncanny knowledge comes from his scar making him psychic. It's absolutely phenomenal.

This comment will probably get buried but hi, bonesandthebees author of tommyinnit's clinic for supervillains here. first off, insanely surreal to see a youtuber I've watched since 2017 talk about my fic. love your stuff coley <3 second off, I totally understand the hesitation to read any mcyt fic given everything that's happened. but for me at least, I've always written solely about the rp characters present on the dream smp minecraft server and not the actual cc's even before everything went down, and a majority of authors in the fandom (including thcscus, author of passerine) have done the same. obviously if you don't want to read stuff from the fandom that's totally understandable, but the characters largely belong to the fandom at this point. I wrote what I did for the community to enjoy, not for the creators. either way though it's seriously an honor to get mentioned in one of your videos :) I've been watching you since I was in the voltron fandom when I was a teenager lol

9:42 I really would read it. It’s a huge piece of fanfiction culture to me. The plot is very far removed from the content creators, so it definitely feels more like a novel with original characters than a regular fanfic. I was lucky enough to have passerine be one of the first fics I’ve ever read, and nothing has really surpassed the writing yet. I would give it a try, if it’s not for you then you can just toss it on the back-burner, but it’s so beautifully written and I cried the first time I read it. If you have the opportunity to, I wouldn’t give it up.

Please dont worry about reading the dsmp fics! The fandom lovingly created these characters, and will never allow the OG ppl behind them to tarnish it. I would say, give it a shot if you want to :)
