Building a Jurassic world is a massive undertaking - and the team behind Jurassic World Dominion didn’t hold back in the slightest.
First, we’ve gotta talk about the dinosaurs. Not only were their real dinosaur puppets and animatronics on the set - we’re talking full-size, breathing dinosaurs that the actors would get up close and personal with. Not only were they large in size - there are more dinosaurs in Jurassic World Dominion than in any other film!
The actors were required to really bring their a-game - even when it came to doing some scenes that weren’t the most comfortable. Let’s just say one actor spent a whole lot of time soaking wet! Oh and we should mention - there are dinos in the snow. One actor in particular really got up close and personal with the snow. Filming wound up feeling a bit more like being at an amusement park!
Jurassic World Dominion brings together the best of both worlds, honoring the legacy that started all those years ago in the first Jurassic Park film, to now, wrapping up the franchise with a film that brings the whole family together.
Dinosaurs did take up a significant part of their one hundred and sixty-five million dollar budget, but that also covered all the pyrotechnics, intense stunts, and giant fans needed to amp up all the action. Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes, there is an EPIC car chase - we even get to see one of the lead actors speeding around on a motorbike!
