Those who say "fake" have never honestly given picking a try.
I never tried, bought the basic 4pc set and lock with pins. Started trying on simple cheap indoor locks first, so easy, And those clear ones. Once you figure the feel out, especially with rakes etc it's pretty quick. And these guys on CI are really good. I'm just an old FNG.

For people who don't understand... this is a "comb" tool that he's using. It will unlock many locks instantly but not every lock. Some locks are not comb pickable. There are several different types of comb tools... different ones are needed for different styles of locks.

I got the FNG kit and blacked out the lock. Within a week I could pick it eyes closed. A month later and I was picking every lock in my home I'm talking doors, padlocks and an endless stream of masterlocks.
It's not fake. You've just never picked before.

I've got a bunch of Masterlocks in my picking practice bag, purely for when the kids of friends are over and want to have a go at lock picking. They get a wonderful sense of achievement when they pop them Sometimes just from randomly jabbing a rake pick into them with a slight twisting action ! :D

I used to run interviews for a locksmith position. I would start by having the applicants try to pick a Master lock padlock without any instructions. Most could do it. With little instruction I could get them to pick actual locks. I was testing their ability to learn and follow directions.

This is a comb pick. The way a normal lock works is that all of the pins must be aligned by a key to turn it. A comb pick on the other hand instead just lifts all of the pins above the shackle line, bypassing any need for precision.

People seem to not understand why the comb is so effective. These locks are susceptible to pushing both sets of pins above the shear line, which makes comb picking easy enough for pretty much anyone to do, regardless of experience.

Yeah I got one, metal is real thin, they work but if the padlock sticks at all best to apply tension with a turning tool as to not bend your rakes.
