Two Israeli women were released by Hamas on Monday, three days after an Israeli-American mother and daughter were freed.

Qatari officials mediated the release. Hamas published a video showing the two women being transferred to Red Cross officials on the border with Egypt before being taken to a hospital in Tel Aviv, where they met family members. In the video, Yocheved Lifshitz turns around and shakes hands with one of the Hamas militants, and can be heard saying 'shalom' (peace). There are thought to be 220 hostages still held in Gaza. Israel said it would continue to intensify its bombardment of Gaza in an attempt to exert more pressure on Hamas.

Talk about missing the point. The reason she shook their hand is because she was treated well. It’s not Stockholm syndrome.

I cannot believe the guardian showed the part where the grandma shook the Hamas soldier hand.

It’s crazy how many news reports cut this part out of the video.

Anyone who saw the brutal treatment of prisoners in Abu Ghraib by American soldiers will not believe this.

She was treated with kindness and that's why she remembered to say a last goodbye to him.. That's obvious to me!

Hamas is not as brutal as Netanyahu, that’s for sure. See what Israel government did after Hamas released 4 hostages. They expand air strike areas

Nice and honorable lady to tell the truth: She was treated well. Seniors are not often treated well, even in their own countries and by their own people.

Shes given an interview where she said her capturers looked after her well and were friendly, watch the interview she goes into a lot more detail. The question then is why are innocent children and civilians being mutalated in Gaza by israel?

There are hundreds of Palestinian women and children in captivity by Israeli forces too for years.

You can see that no matter on what side they are, these militants have humane qualities and empathy. The lady took time to shake hands with the Hamas militant because she was treated well. It’s the ones who play the bigger game lacking humanity in their heart. But the hate is driven towards the militants because they are the ones caught in action, holding guns in their hands. At the end we are all pawns sacrificing our lives to save the useless king on a chessboard.

They were very friendly and shared their food. They were seen by doctors and even given their medicine. Why are NBC News and other US news channels cutting out these parts ?
