What was your most frustrating experience with Linux?

I installed Fedora a few weeks ago and i immediately fell in love with it, everything just works, then The Linux Experiment uploaded a video commenting about how great this distro is, and now I see this video, it's great to see how much attention this distro is getting

It's been almost 6 months I'm using Fedora to work. The system impressed me more than I have expected.

I installed Fedora on my framework simply because it was the only "just works" linux distro for that laptop at the time. Long story short, I love it!

I recently switched to Fedora 35 for my main driver laptop and have been very impressed and will stick with it.

It's mainly because of Wayland. Over the past six months, I've used Gnome Wayland session with a 2.5K laptop screen and 1.5x scaling. It works great!

I watched the Linux Experiment video recently. The Great Living Frenchman says Fedora is the new Ubuntu. I've not used it myself but I am tempted to give it a try now.

I just switched from Pop_OS to fedora, it's the only distro that works on my computers without issue, I'm very impressed with fedora.

Note about hybird graphics on pop os: you only have to restart to switch to hybrid mode, which, by default, uses the integrated graphics unless you specify to use the dedicated card. The exception being steam, which uses the dedicated card by default even in hybrid graphics mode.

Man, I can't thank you enough for this series. I'm buying a laptop from the rog zephyrus series and I was really worried about how linux would run on this machine, I didn't want to switch back to windows after 6 years of not using it on my main machine. Thank you so much!

This is reassuring because Fedora workstation has been my daily driver for six months now. To see it thrive makes me proud!

Yeah, after 2 years of using Arch, I switched to Fedora and I haven’t looked back. I love how it’s stable yet fairly up to date, and I love how they manage to implement new tech like pipewire and wayland without compromising reliability. I guess that corporate backing isn’t being wasted!

Fedora is just so good. It worked on my 5700g laptop with a 1650 when mint just wouldn’t. I’m seriously considering switching from mint to fedora/cinnamon on my desktop

Fedora was the distro that stopped me hopping on Desktop; it's amazing! I had POP and Manjaro for long time.

Now about boot... on my high rez screen laptop I can't work with Fedora, since bootloader shows me the OS's very, very small - I've tried to fix this; spent weeks but to no success. So on my laptop I went back to POP! and could easily change the font size for the bootloader via Grub Customizer. I need it, since my wife uses Windows on the same machine.

So yes, Fedora on my gaming machine is amazing and gives me better performance on games than my old Windows 10 installation! Linux is the way!

Fedora has impressed me too. I have a relatively older AMD laptop but Fedora with Wayland is excellent on it. I use it primarily for connecting remotely to my office machine and i have some issues with key capturing, otherwise, it has been a great experience.

I just installed fedora on my ryzen based idea pad 3, and so far everything just works! Only thing I needed to do was go into gnome tweaks and change the trackpad to area instead of gestures.

I also have an ROG laptop (Flow X13) and was helped tremendously by the Asus-linux group. They helped me set up my eGPU and many other issues. They also have tools for graphics switching which work really well, as well as tools for charging limit, power profiles etc. Anyone who has an ROG laptop should definitely check them out

On my gaming laptop, Arch Linux was the way to go with no problems. Like you I've tried just about every distro under the sun.

When I think of "it just works", I think of popping in the install flash, running through a few default install steps, and done. No additional work required and everything is as it should be. This whole thing sounds more of an "omfg, it *\*finally\** works", lol.

I love when fedora is the answer. Fedora cured my hopping itch too. It works perfect on my ultra book. Well no finger print reader and microphone seems borked but it doesn’t work in any Linux so it may be hardware problem then.
