A new Sarina song that i’m going to play on repeat for a year straight.

Sarina truely never disappoints, I started listenning with identity and every song has been a pure banger.I have been silent watcher up to now to see how good the songs were going to be and reserve my jugement for after, and I do consider myself as really critique of modern songs. But Sarina consistently dodges every critiques I have of modern musics:

Dull themes or ten thousand time remade lovesongs? hell no, each song had a strong message and vibrant emotion.
"Identity", a reflection on oneself and every doubt you can have due to your past;
"Atlas" a lesson on how to use the best of east imagery and sounds in a typical western theme/form, using strong symbolism to enhance the strength of the message;
"Melancholy roads", expressing the will to reach for your goals and dreams through lonelyness, sadness and obstacles, the will to do something of your life. etc...

Songs that repeat themselves and overuse their chorus to hide their flaws? Clearly not! Each of Sarina's song do something cleaver with the form.
The perfect exemple is "Identity" with its evolving chorus and engaging verses: a masterpiece.
"Melancholy roads(no more)" with 4 uses of the chorus yet each one uses it diffenrently, one being the introduction to the concept, the memory of what that concept was, how that concept applied and the intention to change it and, in the last one, the resolve, what changed and how much happiness this change can give.
Even the new "living in the moment" that as repetition needs it due to the rock style of the song, using it to show how much Sarina yearns to live in the moment in this song!

Poor lyrics and overuse of lame verbal shortcuts such as "oh yeah" or "baby"? I'll slap (with a wall of text) the first person that even thinks of saying that about Sarina's songs
Each song reflect so well the feelings, the reasearch on the vocabulary of these songs is great, it doesn't need Jules Vernes levels of vocabulary to have a strong impact and show that these were not written after getting drunk at 4 AM (or Sarina has the best drunk status on earth lol). Even just the use of metaphors and other form of stylisation makes Sarina's songs a cut above the rest.
Just the 2 first sentences: "I've been loosing myself" ok strong start but fairly used and pretty direct, but then it follows up with "trynna be someone", all of a sudden it emplies that there was an identity but it wasn't the right one thus an attempt to change but by doing so you both lost what you were aiming for and what you had. This is the kind of lyrics that reinforce each other and I love it. THIS is art!

Honnestly, I never really liked the whole repertoire of an artist, there are always songs that I find dull or uninterresting, but Sarina, well played, you got me on this one. Are there songs that I like less here? yes but they are so good I still like them a lot! "melancholy roads" is even the only reason I'm interested in learning japanese, I want to understand the subtiles notes of that songs! on my way to study a 7th language for a song xD
