Samsung galaxy smartphone owners! Time to take this step: Samsung Cloud is being discontinued and being moved to Microsoft One Drive. You will need to take some steps to make sure you don't lose data and move everything over from your Gallery App and My Files App from Samsung Cloud to Microsoft OneDrive.

This applies to all Samsung smartphones such as Note 20 Ultra, S20, A71, Note 10, Note 9, S9, etc.

Also, this applies to any UI, ONE UI 3.0, 2.5, 2.1 and more.

More videos on this topic coming soon.

I'm not sure what the industry considers "tons" of storage, but 15GB doesn't feel like tons.

Come on man
Why you don't dare to say all the facts
Samsung gives you 15 gb, and one drive gives you just 5 gb

Once again, thank you for the update and clear instructions. Just a caution. I have used the "camera upload" facility of OneDrive for a couple of years on my Note 9. I followed all instructions and swapped over from Samsung Cloud (which I did not use) only to find that "OneDrive Gallery Sync" will not sync gallery items on an SD card (which is where all of mine are!!). I had to switch back (which is less easy).

Looking through all the comments here, there are SO MANY QUESTIONS NOT ANSWERED and it concerns me a great deal. Perhaps I should turn off samsung backup and stick with Dropbox that I have already.

I just got a push notification today and I was freaking out. I have so many files on my Samsung cloud had to move them all out right now. What a pain.

Edit: Oh and BTW Microsoft One is so Terrible. The transfer of files often crashes. I moved everything to MEGA until I find a solution. Such a pain in the ass for samsung phones without SD card slot...

Word of warning, Onecloud doesn't cover anything in the secure folder. Neither did Samsunk, "not a typo, " backup. you need to run backup under secure folder to save anything in it.

EDIT : DON'T DO THIS if you have content on SD card
Leave it as it is. I already used Microsoft one drive for backup and when I did these settings it stopped syncing my sd card contents and it doesn't fix unless you remove samsung account manually from the Microsoft security options.
Also it will be a big mess again.

Thanks, good video. Of course you can just use Google drive which gives you more storage. I bet most people have their photos backed up to Google photos already. The rest can be backed up to Google drive also. Or use smartwatch to backup entire phone to your pc.
