SOO glad you found a new yarn and are excited again to work on Dennis's sweater!! I will also be casting on a sweater in Brooklyn Tweed Shelter for my husband in the next couple weeks, but I'm doing the Knitters Dude because he's a huge Lebowski fan! PS thank you SOO much for the glass of Thrones series book recommendation!! I've been looking for a new fantasy series to start and I'm super excited to get that started!!

We knit for enjoyment...not because we wouldn't be clothed otherwise! We have choices in yarn, needles and patterns...it should never be a miserable experience. Always enjoy it! Sometimes there is a bit o' the ho-hum...but it should never be something that turns your mouth down and makes a body miserable.
Good on ya for switching. I am sure the Hubster Sweater Two-Point-O will be a winner.
And I love the hat. <3 Definitely going to check the pattern out when published.

Your new hat design is GORGEOUS!!! And it looks so great in your fluffy, speckled yarn - the texture comes through wonderfully! Also, if you need to get a Poldark fix after you've finished this season, I highly recommend the books on audible! There's something insane like ten books altogether in the series? I've listened to the first six so far and enjoyed them just as much as the show!

Great hat love the name and beads, what a treat. Totally can understand you changing the plan on "husbeast sweater". Lmao. Well I am sure with the woolen spun yarn choice it may be a better choice. I have issues as to BT yarns being a bit delicate as well but they are so warm knitted up. I love that plus the lighter lofty feel. Sounds like the peace fleece on a smaller needle was tough. That's great that you're enjoying working with the new yarn, definitely Dennins should have a sweater with good vibes in it ^^
I'm still behind on Throne of Glass series! (now 2 books to listen to left). I think I'll save it until I'm done writing the raw text of my newest book. It should hopefully happen before Christmas and then I'll have some holiday binge listening and knitting time! :)

Or you can do what I do with all my unloved yarn (that I'm not enjoying knitting with), which is to warp it on my loom and make a totally luxe, oversized wrap. Given that you have a narrower loom, you can weave two and mattress them together for a plush and gorgeous wrap for you. Or a single width for Dennis. I think the rustic + mohair would make a beautiful man-scarf. As an aside, my guy friends are loving the woven scarves more than the knitted ones. It's a great way of de-stashing!

I so understand the husband sweater dilemma and you did totally the right thing . I’ve only managed the rib so far and Christmas is getting ever closer !!
I too am using BT Shelter and hope for a quick result ?! It’s amazing how many wip’s can be finished whilst putting something off 😊!!

i have the same experience with Brooklyn Tweed yarn, I totally get what you mean. that was the first and last time I use that yarn.
