2017 Ford GT Start-up, Revs and Moving!

I capture the brand new 2017 Ford GT supercar starting up twice and doing some light revs as it moves around after it's debut at the NAIAS 2015! This car is powered by a Twin-Turbo 3.5L V6! What do you think about the sound?

Looks amazing, but I don't understand one thing: What's wrong with a V8? I mean, twin turbo V6, yeah it's cool and modern, but the GT40 and the original GT had V8's. It's kinda throwing out it's own history. My opinion. No, not everything needs a V8, I just feel that this ONE vehicle does. Still cool though.

V6 makes sense, the GT350 engine would have been cool but it would just be the same as a GT350.  Ecoboost is more futuristic, lighter etc.  I'm looking forward to a NSX vs. GT track battle in the future.

Thanks for the updates Matt to what is obviously gonna be an awesome auto show. I am loving the new NSX, Honda really stepped up and did exactly what they should've. But, MY LORD... This GT is one of the most stunning vehicles I've seen in a long time. BTW, the sound of the Mustang GT350 is downright bone chilling!! Makes me smile!!

Everyone is complaining about the V6, but I would like to introduce you to the modern world. The U.S. Government now regulates emissions, causing manufacturers to use smaller forced induction power plants. By 2025 all auto manufacturers will have to meet the new 54.5 average mpg rating. The V8s are going to die off in favor of hybrids and small displacement engines with forced induction. So stop bitch and be thankful auto manufacturers are developing this powertrains, rather than just dropping super cars, which is much easier on them.

Ferrari kept the legacy of the V12 alive in LaFerrari. They could have gone with a smaller engine but they choose to stay true to their heritage. Ford could have easily engineered a powerful fuel efficient V8 if they wanted to. This is not the average Joe's car, so keeping cost down shouldn't have kept Ford from putting a V8 in the GT . A fuel efficient V8 would be a better engineering accomplishment than a fuel efficient V6.

Everybody likes the good 'ol V8 gurgling, but nothing beats the hissing goodness of a twin-turbo V6 with an open exhaust system. Can't wait to hear this thing in action.

While I love the Ford GT and its Twin turbo V6, I want to see a special variant as well. 

Call if the Ford GT HellHound (Just to one up another car brand)
Give it a Flat Plane 5.2 V8 from the GT350R. 
Put a Supercharger on it and bring the HP to 808HP (Again taking a shot at another brand)


No disrespect to Dodge either, their Hellcat is a badass car. I just love Competition and am proud that America now has the Britain, Germany, Japan, and even the Italian junk worried.
