BEST Spot to add Car Sound deadening Material For ROAD Noise

The best place to add sound deadening material in your vehicle to get rid of the most road noise possible. One thing to note, if you already have a luxury vehicle, meaning there's already not of sound deadening material added, this might be less effective. Adding some sound deadening material on a more entry level car will show you the biggest difference in road noise entering the cabin after installing some sound deadeners like kilmat or dynamat.

Take the vehicle and have it undercoated. That will help a good bit. Add sound deadening in phases. Undercoat, the do the doors, then do the trunk or hatch area, the do the floor pan. One trick that’s overlooked is to use expanding foam insulation in the body frame cavities. Like the body pillars. Also use 2” gorilla tape to secure all wires and frame penetrations. In college I had a foxbody GT that I sound treated to the max! It was as quiet as a luxury car even with aftermarket exhaust. Don’t underestimate the value of sound deadening
