Didn't even know this existed until it was played at the end of episode 4 of "The Gilded Age." What caught my attention are the similarities between this symphony's third movement Adagio and Mahler's Adagietto from Symphony No. 5. Surely just a coincidence, but there is a three chord progression that sounds just like the beginning of the Adagietto.

Wow! At times, sounds like Schubert, and at times, like Glazunov and Scriabin! Very original! I re-listened to it 10 times. Seal of quality!

This symphony was probably torturous to play

I've got to be honest, I'll study to this, but I won't listen to it for enjoyment...The third movement had some nice parts (about a third of the way through), but for me...it was kind of bland.
