In this video we talk about 10 things about the dodge viper GTS ACR that you didn't know! We review the dodge viper and some of the quirks pros and cons of the car as well as some things that were overlooked in the design such as the bad braking and no ABS. We also show how small the brakes are on the rear of the car as well as getting burnt of the exhaust on the side of the car. These cars are classic and the v10 engine is the staple engine. Opposite seat belts, a strange gas cap, extra coolant overflow bottle and a strange climate control are just a few of the things we discuss in this video.

The Viper GTS MK1 is without a doubt still one of my dream cars, and has a design that still looks fresh today, something that can't be said for many cars. I remember falling in love with it when playing Grand Turismo on Playstation all those years ago, now that I'm in my mid-40s and have some money, I'm going to get the real thing.

Thanks bro for the video. You just taught me something I didn't know. With the heat only working on right side of dial.. I'm in Detroit. We bought a 2000 RT/10 in May 2019. When we bought it, we didn't need to use the heat cause it was hot outside. But now that it's winter in Michigan and I crank it up to start it sometimes. I've noticed that heat only blows when the dial is to the right... I just thought it was something wrong with it.lol..

Just want to say thank you for your videos on your Viper. They're very informative.

Was a Viper engineer and still own my 1997 GTS Coupe. The gas cap outer foam seal was for dust. The rubber rubber seal on the plastic gas cap was for evaporitive emmision and dictated by the EPA

Very cool, thanks for sharing! One of the things I love about my GEN3 Viper is that I can cross-reference parts from many Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler cars and save hundreds on parts lol. Keep it up!

It’s a an awesome car, always love seeing it. This is the first time I have learned it has crouch cooling vents.

The Gas Cap Cover has a drain tube from it to the wheelwell below for spillage. The Aluminium is just a fancy cover and emissions caps are spring loaded etc. CEL if the cap is off as fuel system is closed and has a charcoal canister and emissions pump for fumes

I also think it’s worth mentioning when it comes to the heater, it only comes out at the feet and the windows, the vents are exclusively A/C.

Another feature ahead of it's time is the adjustable pedals. Also, a lot of owners aren't familiar with the alarm reset.

Seat belts can be dangers, My late mother was in serious car wreck back in the early 90s and the crash made the set belt slice open her neck. She did not die from that.

Had to replace the battery on my viper once and it was hell because I had to take off the left rear wheel and fender liner off and I'm gonna tell you now, its not easy.

Dodge, taking the muscle car theme all the way by providing 1960's style brakes!, seriously though, what a great car and I own a Corvette!😀😉👍✌

Rear brakes, actually came off a Mitsubishi. In 2001 the rear calipers were upgraded to a 43mm piston instead of the 36mm piston on earlier Vipers.
