It is no secret that the #Tesla and #SpaceX CEO has warned people for years about the dangers of AI-powered robots, predicting even "scary outcomes" like those in "The Terminator." He is now acting to save humanity from destruction before the situation worsens.

It is widely considered to be the holy grail of artificial intelligence to build machines just as smart as humans. Musk, for one, fears that when robots can produce AI equal to humans, they will outsmart humans. According to AI pioneer Yoshua Bengio, said the BBC last October: “We are very far from super-intelligent AI systems and there may even be fundamental obstacles to get much beyond human intelligence.” And during the 2017 Beneficial AI conference, Musk and Hassabis spoke alongside Professor Nick Bostrom, Skype cofounder Jaan Tallinn, Ray Kurzweil, Berkeley University computer scientist Stuart Russell, and several other prominent figures.

I like the idea of cars that can drive on boring interstate trips and do things like avoid collisions. As far of computers doing something like all of banking more than just paying bills could be hacked is my biggest concern. I really wouldn’t want a robot that did more.

I believe there has to be a fair balanced between Solar/Wind Battery power vs fossil fuel utilization. We can not rely completely on one more that the other. We all know what happened in Texas during the big freeze last this year. After all we all know how the minerals used to make batteries, build panels and metals are extracted with. It is not solely battery powered machinery. Balanced utilization should be the key.

I was in China in 2008 right before the Olympics., when all industry had been shut down to clean up the air for the Olympics. The air was so bad it felt like you could bite it. I always had a sore throat. That country is not green but any standard you can possibly and honestly judge it.

We already try to regulate the stock market, which itself is hard enough to really understand, I can only imagine trying to regulate a computational "intelligence", and then get all the other countries to do the same. Elon as a "genius" as he would like his PR and the media present him, is human, if his history shows more of his character, I don't think a "self-made" billionaire with so many "hobbies" can really, and I mean really, begin to understand the complexity of outcomes when it relates to computational "intelligence". This is just my two-cents, regular guy (mf) perspective. Jose (out).

I do personally believe there should be an emergency steering wheel stuck in the dashboard because I do know that in time the GPS technology will get good enough to wear there will never be crashes they will never be a bug because they're going to charge us so much money to make this happen that they're going to make what they need to make but if the car senses it in dangerous situation of steering wheel needs to pop out
