My 25 year old Rrolex date just has the same cheap metal pressed clasp as well. I have 20 year old invicta's with no problem with the plating. My Invicta's that are 20 years old are almost as accurate as my 25 year old Rolex. I love the Invicta pro divers with the Swiss Sillita automatic movement. Great Video and thanks for sharing. To sevice one rolex you can by 12 magnificent Invicta automaic;s on e-bay.

I have several Prodivers and Grand divers, haven't had problems in terms of time keeping or look. I get them because if the look, whether quartz or automatic. I don't know many who would dive with these watches, I'll never claim they're the end all be all watch, but a swimming pool, shower, hand washing I've done and have no issues. The thing is so many people compare them to upper type watches, and no matter what Invicta uses in their watches it's not a Ball or Omega or Citizen. They're fashion pieces that for the buck look good and are solid watches. I never go by the msrp because those are marked up anyway, but having no issues with Invicta for 7 years, well, I'm good with them.

I have pro diver is awesome. It has Seiko movement (nh35) hacking & hand winding. Wr 200m, stainless steel, screw down crown & back. Been awesome.

Now that's not to say I won't branch out and pick up a Timex or Seiko, but I know the sizes I like and what looks good on my wrist. A 47mm isn't big on me. I wear up to 52mm comfortably. But my sweet spot is around 50mm. I have a few 44s and 45s, but anything smaller it would have to be a special watch. Now some of Invictas time pieces are ridiculous in terms of style and function. That's when I know I need to step away. Eventually my goal watch is an Omega. I've learned a lot of what I like and don't like. I've grown thanks to them, and I look forward to my grail watch.

Had the crown been a proper screw down type, I might have considered this as one to add to my collection. Thanks for this clarification.

I had this watch all gold, with blue. I bought it for $100 and sold it for $50. A lot of people said they like the watch. The watch worked well just had to fix the clasp ones. Would be nice if this watch was in a 43, 44, 45mm

Had INVICTA done this in 40 - 43 mm and with a screw down crown, I would have gone for this like a shot.

I seem to have heard somewhere that Swiss movement makers also sell parts to other companies, but the movements those other companies make may not be called Swiss made unless they meet a certain criteria. So in this case it's possible that this thing does have some Swiss parts but that's about it. Guess they really wanted to put 'Swiss' there if they can.

Still, Invicta is for people who are simply looking for a quality daily driver that doesn't cost a fortune. That strategy seems to be working well for them. Not super top quality but then it's fine and Invicta is really up there when it comes to giving you the most bang for the buck from a brand that's fairly well-known.

Wondering if I can get the rose gold two tone in automatic, if so I would try to get a bezel similar to the "root beer" Rolex GMT and make a really gorgeous dress watch.

I have a few twenty year old quartz watches that still keep excellent time. I have had many seiko quartz watches some that were very expensive. Most of my Seiko quart watches all were damaged by water. I live in Florida and never really got them wet."Go figure" "So no I would not buy a quartz Diver." I ruined many automatic Seiko skx's 007's & 9's from "Shock"on my jet skies and none of them ever got water in them. Automatic Divers are my choice love them all.
