It appears that the assist mode is designed for self tapping screws. This prevents the screws from driving with so much force that the hole gets stripped out.

I've been using Hercules for a lil bit and recently bought this impact and drill. They've been great. When I was servicing and repairing excavators my only power tool was a Hercules 3/8 brushless 20v impact. Did great. Still have it and use it at home 4 years later

This Hercules has 500lbs of nut busting torque. It's the ONLY driver I've seen yet to be able to go head to head with Milwaukee's Gen 4 impact. I'll be getting it tomorrow lol👍🏻Even though I have mostly Ridgid.

Rumor has it that Hercules is actually designed by a Milwaukee engineer.
I don’t know if it’s a former Milwaukee engineer, or someone who still works for the company.

Just bought this... got the tool, charger, and 1 battery, for $96... also got a extra battery ( $44 value) part of the clearance sale harbor freight was having... This is the first cordless tool I've bought from them, curious if it will as dependable as my other cordless impacts.

Back in the good ole Days when I started became a Contractor, I used to see DeWalt, Milwaukee and Makita Tools are getting stolen in the jobsite, and the most hated tools there (Ryobi and Craftsman) will still stay there untouched! Nowadays even The brushless RYOBI impact driver and drill the new HP when I left it in the jobsite the other day got stolen. I'm worried about this new Brushless Hercules 20V impact driver even though it's a cheap ass tool will get Stolen as well, especially Hercules and Ryobi are the tools that I lend to the other Contractors in the jobsite whenever they forgotten their own tools or IF they broke it and they need a drill or driver I lend them either Ryobi or Hercules Brand while I'm keeping my own tools Makita and DeWalt and Bosch.

Just bought this drill about 2 weeks ago and man I’m actually surprised with the performance. I bought the drill with charger and battery plus they had a sell of 2 big 20v batteries for $93 in total I spent less than $200. Compared to dewalt batteries that cost way too damn much. And the life on the batteries has me surprised. I just want to see how durable they are, only time will tell

Hmm I knew the wrenches had different speeds but I didn't know the drivers had them too . Any way my PC impact driver can do all those screws from 3/8 lag screws to log ones like ten inch ones no problem
