Youtube, I'm thinking of a SECRET PHRASE. It's one of my favorite trolls from Mario Maker 2. Can you guess it? Hint: It was in Super Wagon World. I'll pin whoever gets it (and give you a free sub if you come by the twitch stream!)

When I think of my favorite trolls from all of Mario Maker history, these ones come to mind (I don't remember SMM1 that well)
1) Hold left at now (probably my favorite troll ever)
2) Entire level is dark and you don't know until the very end when a pipe shows up out of nowhere and CP1s you
3) Fake skull platform ride
4) Hole labeled "Spike"
5) Not really a normal troll, but I loved how thwomp suc became like a meme to trick people into going to the level, almost like a rick roll
6) Of course, carl's trash can is on the list, with its "jk times infinity" thing
7) Not a single troll, but I loved the era of non-suspicious setups
8) As for SMM1 things, I think I remember loving defender's troll style, and of course classics like Larl Does Everything Twice Twice and Sorry Juz
9) Crate suc, when you just softlock so easily
10) The first screen of Goop Gorp 1, with the key door that keeps going back to the same screen and trolling you

My favourite troll has to be the sun that wiped away the ice blocks to drop the player to cp1. The same sun then releases a twister to prevent the player entering the door. This is all AFTER the player has been shown fire melting ice blocks.

Great multi-purpose troll that the player is warned about, and is then completely at fault for (twice).

I have to agree with Carl, there was something oddly mesmerizing about the gracefulness of that particular claw. Probably rewound & watched it 4 or 5 more times, just to get the full sense of clawful majesty! 😮

My favorite troll, probably, is actually the multiple "auto-mario" trolls that were used for a while. Such as "Hold Right at Start." "JK Hold Right + A at Start" "JK Hold Right + A + Up at Start" and by the end of it, after all of the Twister-levels of right-hand-red they make you go through.. the last one says "JK hold Left at Start" and an off-screen spring knocks you perfect distance into a hole to land into a pipe and take you to the goal.

Or the "Hold Power Button to beat level" joke, I don't remember where that was from but that was hilarious. No one fell for it but the self-aware comedy was great. Year of the GUTS was fun too.
