IUPAC Naming Practice - Nomenclature for alkanes, dienes, alcohols and more

Naming organic compounds is an important foundation of any organic chemistry course. In this video, you’ll work through some nomenclature practice problems for dienes, alcohols and more using the puzzle piece approach that I teach in my previous nomenclature video series. You’ll identify and name the parent chain, the highest priority functional group, as well as any other substituents on the molecule. Additionally, this video reviews drawing skeletal and line structures when provided with more bulky, structural formulas.
