Chant of the Mystics: Exsultet (Easter Night Chant) - English - Gregorian Chant - Light in Darkness

The Exsultet or Easter Proclamation, is a lengthy sung proclamation delivered before the paschal candle, ideally by a deacon, during the Easter Vigil in the Roman Rite of Mass. In the absence of a deacon, it may be sung by a priest or by a cantor. It is sung after a procession with the paschal candle before the beginning of the Liturgy of the Word. It is also used in Anglican and various Lutheran churches, as well as other Western Christian denominations. The Chant is about Divine Light entering worldly darkness and showing a way to overcome our current situation.

Beautifully calming and so fitting for Easter🙏💕 Patrick your music is so angelic and has helped me see God's light in all the darkness and sorrow I've experienced this year. I lost my dear father on Feb 7th and then my grandmother on March 4th. Immediately, Covid19 started and I feel now being at home having to slow down, pray and ask for God's mercy that healing and light will begin to flow on Earth once more. We all have the spark of God breathed into us at birth. Your music to me feels as though angels are singing to my soul reminding me that Christ is the one true victory that is with us at all times. We just need to stop the busyness of life and listen to his voice and that of the angels. We then realize our strength within our soul being renewed, the fire of God in our hearts restored.
