Crews demolish home following landslide, water main break in Bellevue

The house had been sitting at an angle since Jan. 17, when it was pushed off its foundation. The City of Bellevue says the cause is under investigation.

The city doesn't want to take any responsibility for the landslide, so they stonewall that poor family and keep them from reclaiming any of their possessions so they can't document anything. Absolutely disgraceful.

Next time just walk onto your property. The government is not responsible for your safety. They are going to claim that doing so puts emergency crew at risk if they have to save you... That is not true. Because the government has no responsibility. Emergency crew frequently will not engage until a reasonable degree of safety can be ensured.

Thank God they finally tore it down so the neighbors can have some peace and quiet and not have to deal with those noisy truck and loud machinery.
