very true!

there is of course always the risk of taking it too far in the other direction, so you end up buying high and selling low, but it’s a less common problem

Man I needed to hear that 😅 I'm taking a loss because I refuse to sell I'm training my mind to accept a lost before even buying it

Yes happens just cut my call credit spread on Sofi and saved a couple k. I closed my 7/6.50 put credit spread for a 7k gain before the market tanked on Friday. Thank god I did and locked in profit instead of going for that last 10% and being greedy.

I waited at least 2 years for SE to recover. I’m at -$3 and and I will not sell the stock . 😢 I finally put a trail stop sell on it . But I really do need to get my $3 😂

Leaving the stock that is down for a period of time leaves your money stagnant. When you sell you have capital that has the potential to makes gains when choosing a new play instead. IMO.

I'm up about $16k year to date on option premiums, but down $21k on NVIDIA shares, so I refuse to sell the stock until it recovers 😂

I just did my first options trade today which was selling a put on Palantir with the august 2nd expiration. $26 strike price. I did a market order. Is the main way to get out to just buy it back? Should I always be setting up a stop loss of some sort so that I can get out of the trade if the price moves very quickly while I’m at work?

Cut your losses quickly. Don’t give it a second thought.

Yeah, I cut Sofi. I know it’s highly recommended, but I had to stop the bleeding. I’m holding TSLA, though.

I wouldn't know were to begin, but I have my ups & downs this year like last year, just more ups in the last few months. My 5K Challenge portfolio is now over 23K, my personal one is up over 800% on the year. (Thanks to nvidia, tsla, and a few others.)
