When you look at the different designs of the cars, then compare them to today’s cars that look like they are cloned from one design, definitely prefer the older ones.

These old cars are worth what the highest bidder will pay for them, not the made up guide price. They all look good on the surface, but unless your in the room and can have a look underneath it's Russian roulette.

A 37yr old rolls is so cheap because every time something goes wrong, it'll cost a 2015 Corsa to fix.😁

Hope you enjoy this one, Something a little different my first auction reaction video from Anglia car auctions classic sale from a few weeks ago. Sorry in advance for my webcam being a little fuzzy, new HD cam has been ordered. 😁😁👍👍

As Sir Henry Royce said of his motor cars, "The quality will remain long after the price is forgotten" and that's absolutely true. I have driven a nice, now 50-year-old Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow for years and the comfort and progressive power is superb. Specialist servicers and suppliers can provide refurbished spares will keep running costs reasonable. Just buy the best you can afford and keep an eye on any rust, plus ask the wife for some petrol money!

Cars hitting 40 now include BMW E30s, E28s & Mercedes 190Es (W201) & W124. If you get a rust free one then they are great cars to run with no Congestion Charge, ULEZ, VED or MOT. That's where my money would go.

I could watch these ones all day long. Great content!!!👍 Love you sitting in your (?) Maserati at the end too, I bet that wasn't for sale at The Car Pitch!!!😂

The ACA auction is a great watch if you love classic cars. It's really well presented and usually runs over a Saturday and Sunday for about 10 hours but I'm always glued for the duration.

The MG-C shared its engine with the Austin 3 litre saloon (different head) not the Healy 3 litre.
It was a newer different engine (2912cc) that was only used in the MGC and the 3 Litre (big landcrab) Saloon.

Lee you started buying mk3 fiestas around 2005, the first car I bought at auction was a
1979 mk1 fiesta 1, 1 in 1988 for £250 I was only 22 years old, it had a bent mot in it, I have been to lots of auctions around Leeds and of course bca in brighouse, i haven't been to a a auction for 15 years but have lots of stories.!
Am enjoying the video, Mark

Cost of living is affecting the prices of classic cars, i was at this sale, noticeable drop off in prices actually achieved compared to last year. I've bought a VW Corrado and a Porsche 944 there before and did some rectification work on them, ran for a while and sold on. I'm away this weekend but November is the next one I'll attend and see if I can find something nice for a winter project

I would probably say, thus will be the future for car traders. The current market is getting harder, especially with all the electronics on these newer car. The older cars are much easier to repair and probably more reliable.

Great guys these! Been watching these guys since CVD19, along with, I think it's five others! Just 'love em.' The cars that dad bought when were kids, then in our teens in the late 60's 70's and 80's for a couple of 100s, now fetch over 1000!

Oh Lee, you are a diamond sir. I really enjoyed that. These are the sort of vehicles that crossed the block back in the day when I had bright eyes and a bushy tail. I'd see stuff like this every week. Prices weren't as strong back then though. MK3 Fiestas; Couple of hundred at the auction, same again prep, and retail for a bag. I'd take 30 of them if I could. Always liked a Montego too. Same money, ready market. Sierras and Cavaliers a bit more; Monkey at the auction, bag and a half retail, always someone for them. If you wanted a leggy ex-rep-mobile with a book of stamps, I was the man to see. Gosh I miss those days. Didn't appreciate them as much as I should. Couldn't do the job now. I've zero interest in the SUVs and Crossovers that people want these days. And I certainly couldn't deal with the nonsense.

Great video as always like the addition of a little change ... got a 2002 scooby which is lots of fun and good to see some of these older cars, far better than most now ... no battery here

My dad had a Rover 800 vitesse turbo in green. Paid £600 for it in the early 90's. Impressed as even the AC worked. LHD lorry driver wrote it off! Jag 4 litre sovereign getting wheelspin in 3rd gear of the automatic pulling out onto a roundabout and round it. All leather and comfy. Kept for 2 weeks.
Early 90's had a modified mark 1 golf GTI. Used to pull 90mph in 3rd gear, went like the proverbial. Sold it on after a short time. Used to turn up in many different cheap cars. Volvo 360GLT 2 litre. Volvo 244. Subaru XT. Subaru Bratt. Subaru L series. Renault 18. Fiat 131 mirafiori. Strangely the cars that he kept the longest were the Renault and fiat. Around 5 years each! Later in life bought a Peugeot 309 diesel and 405 diesel! He always drove his cars like he stole them! Used to use the handbrake to get the back end out.

That ford escort van would have made a very tidy micro camper in my opinion

Agreed, this is one of the better classic car auctions out there . Something for most people budget wise with a good selection of makes and models and they also have one of the highest sale rates and one of the lowest buyers premium 8% plus Vat where most other auction houses are 12% plus vat ( vat on the commission)

My late missus and I visited ACA six years ago, 2018, at the August Bank Holiday. Even though we're from North Manchester, we were visiting the area and popped in. The only car we saw we night have bought was an S reg (1977/8) red Mini Clubman estate, it went for around £4K, . My missus had one for 3 years back in the late 1980s, in the same colour. These cars were only made until 1981/2, nowadays a decent example will fetch £15K and more, really good ones £20K upwards.
