It's really a shame that so many companies are so bad at merch.
Some of the products that would sell well are so obvious, like good quality figures, and replicas of in-game items.

There are reasons for this, I've seen a few companies go through it over the years, basically if you don't protect your IP it can become a bit of an open field day for people to steal it once you've set the precedent of not defending it which makes it very hard for the company if they ever go to court over it.

I definitely agree with what you said at the end there. If they sold replicas WOW would those fly of the figurative shelves. But knowing ea and respawn, doing something that makes fans happy is simply impossible. (Oh I have a replica wingman, ash arc snare that actually spins like a fidget spinner, and I have octane's heirloom shipping to me soon, it's a real butterfly knife!)

In general companies HAVE to pursue copyright infringement of their IP. if they do not do it there is a chance they can loose the right to claim it as their own. So in general you can see lots of this sort of nonsensical take downs even if the product was a good way to create PR that cost the company 0 to make.
The ovious way to do it is to make their own merch and maybe contract those artist to make products for them. but we all know that is not the way they are going to do it. They will make generic stuff that is not what the community really wants

There are so many different things from gun and heirloom replicas to LED lamps illuminating light from a plastic cutout of legend ultimates on Etsy, but we can't put apex art on a water bottle anymore

I make print on demand designs and I had loads of ideas for apex I even emailed EA because I know alot of companies have fan art programs where you get a commission and they get their royalties and can approve or dissaprove the design or w.e but no reply sadly.
However, I noticed how so many people were doing it on redbubble and they were making really good sales with no repercussions so this video just confirmed alot for me thanks:)

I have bought the ALGS 2022 Techwear Hoodie and I'm more than happy with it. It looks good, the price was good, it fits perfectly, apex motive is awesome. I even wanted to buy a spare one, but they're sold out.

I would say the only company that does merch fantastically is Riot
