#CheerstoHannah, an original tune written in loving Memory of Hannah Ahlers and dedicated to her husband Brian, and children Briannah, Brice and Hailey.

Hannah is one of the 58 tragically taken from us on October 1st, 2017 during the Route 91 Harvest Festival mass shooting in Las Vegas.

Hannah was Born June 2, 1983 - October 1st 2017

Message from Dark Isle Piper:

"The day of her funeral I sat quietly listening to all the wonderful friends and family that stood up to express their love for Hannah. She touched so many lives and will always live in the hearts of all who had the chance to know her. Hannah had a love of life and lived it fully.
During her graveside ceremony I had the opportunity to play the Bagpipes in honor of her. It is a day I will always remember. My heart broke for her family as I watched them burry their Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and Friend. Her favorite quote was, "It was meant to be." I know this isn't an easy saying for anyone who misses her or any of the victims of Route 91, but maybe one day we will all understand and know that it was meant to be.
Hannah was my friend and co-worker back when I was a young Mom figuring out who I wanted to be. We shared our hopes and dreams and also our love of being Mothers with each other often. There was never a dull moment when she was around! We both had goals and she knew my goal was to become a bagpiper one day. So the day I had enough money saved to buy my set of Bagpipes she celebrated with me. A moment I will never forget was when she randomly showed up 8 years later at a wedding where I was performing. Her smile seeing me in full Pipe Uniform with the Bagpipes under my arm, and both of us throwing our hands in the air and squealing with delight at seeing each other will always be a memory I will cherish! She had a way of making everyone feel important and loved. To honor her meant so much to me.
The day of her funeral, and with frustration with the Bagpipes and how hard it is at times like these to play for someone we love, I found myself at the Piano. As I sat mourning my friend, this beautiful tune came to me. I knew this tune was for her. #Cheerstohannah and thank you for being my friend."
