MSc Epidemiology

Former Programme Director Ian Douglas talks about the MSc Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).

Epidemiology is a key discipline for understanding and improving global health. Epidemiological methods underpin clinical medical research, public health practice and health care evaluation, investigation of the causes of disease, and evaluation of interventions to prevent or control disease.

This master’s programme provides practical training in both infectious and non-communicable disease epidemiology. It aims to teach you the key points of study design, entering and managing data, and the key statistical tools required for rigorous epidemiological analyses.
