PRS SE Hollowbody ii Piezo Review and Thoughts

Got a great one for you guys today! The PRS SE Hollowbody ii Piezo, going over a bunch of sounds and how I plan to use this instrument. Really cool guitar with a ton of versatility! Let me know what you guys think down below!

OK video. 👍 This guitar will probably have a quality stereo sound through the Marshall A80 Soloist stereo combo. And maybe it will play in stereo through the acc. VOX Aga 150 combo (with tube), or through the acc. combo AER 60 Compact. When I have time, I'll try it (I've already ordered the guitar - blue). Ideal for concerts on the road in a small sports car with a small almost no trunk = a 2-in-1 guitar and a small combo (with a large tubes) and a toothbrush. 🤠 For a change: The Guild M-75 Aristocrat semi-hollow EL guitar has a high-quality retro sound = two P-90 pickups. We started here in our youth (about 55 years ago) with the P-90. 😎 Time is running out - the P-90s remain. 😉

I have had this same guitar for about a year now and I'm still trying to fall in love with it. This video gives me the inspiration to give it another shot. It is a really nicely crafted guitar to be sure. I did change out the tuners it came with with the PRS SE locking tuners that are sold on the PRS website. I'm looking forward to seeing it in a V-Log.

Great review! I bought a PRS Hollowbody II Piezo 10 Top a couple of months ago and love it. This one has a mini toggle allowing you to flip between the Piezo, Humbuckers, or both. The guitar practically plays itself. I love the dual output splitting the piezo and humbuckers.

Hey Tim,

Dude that guitar sounds good. I like the diversity that it gives you. I have two guitarist buddies of mine that would also enjoy those options of both sounding like acoustic and electric. As a Harp player I can play with both styles 😉

I had the same colored one. It was fantastic. I only got rid of it because i was not playing it nearly as much as my Strats, and a friend needed it for live situations. I am just a livingroom player, so I can grab my Martin when I want to play acoustic. But these are fantastic guitars!

Kind of wild, I have this prs se hollow body II and you just sold me on the SE silver sky. I think between those two I can do most everything

I like your style and attitude. 👍🎸🎶 I once had one of these in the blue finish and eventually sold it. I can’t remember why, maybe it was the neck being too fat for me. They are great guitars though.

I have a 96 Parker Nitefly that has the Piezo as well. Definitely a cool feature. The only reason I don’t pick up the new Piezo PRS is I already have a semi hollow non piezo PRS. Or maybe I’ll sell both and buy a semi hollow PRS with the Piezo. Time will tell.
