Beautiful representation of my interpretation of the lyrics :) I believe though that this song is very deep and has several "layers" and possible interpretations, however the are all metaphorical. I saw a comment once of what this song means that said "he just is tired of it raining and wants spring to come" lol... dig a little deeper dude, is what i say to that :)

In the midst of a real depression - and I mean clinically diagnosed depression and not due to life circumstance like a brief break up with someone you love but when you feel sad and hopeless and life has lost meaning and you just can't figure out why you feel that way - a person loses their grasp of reality and things become distorted. I know because I have been there. I almost committed suicide a month ago but my dad found me luckily. In that dark hour I could find no reason to be happy.

I was raised in the church and only recently I have decided to really try to understand why there seems to be 2 different Gods. He seems cruel and mean in the Old Testament but in the New Testament (which begins saying "For God so loved the world...) he seems to do a 180 and be loving and merciful. I think in order to form a real fact based opinion one has to gain as much knowledge as possible to come to a conclusion. I do not understand but I want to. But then again, I'm weird :)
