Hi sir, I am using this lecture to design an actual machine shaft. Thanks for innovative way of explaining.

The way you explain is great sir. Your Torsion series made me watch all the others topics as well, now I feel more confident in this subject.
Thanks a lot for Sir !

Very amazing video's really really very good..I have watched all the videos of this Play list and also other to.. must say..no one has taught me wonderful SOM as you did..
I am a gate aspirant not a good financial background so no couching evething is self study..
For students like us a teacher like you is GOD...
You teach such in such a wonderful way and easy understanding..
Really Sir you are a real hero...
I had taught that I wouldn't be able to score good marks in SOM...
But Sir today you made a guy from zero to Hero in SOM

heartfully thank You Sir.
May god bless you Sir..
Thank you so much 🙏🙏

Sir it requires lot of hard work. Excellent basic level explanation.

Great explanation Manas. In my case I have a shaft positioned vertically with 2 disks fixed to it and a motor at the top that drives the whole system. I want to apply all the concepts of strength of materials. How should I approach my case, given that all the examples that there are are for horizontal shafts. Thank you in advance.

please i need to calculate the problem
Design a PT shaft that delivers power produced by a 163 CC engine to
a 10 in wheel and selecting the RR of the system (use chain and sprocket power train) - Assume materials from the available materials in Egypt and mention the reason behind your selection. -Select the mounting bearings by size and load (choose from SKF brand catalogue)? and mention why choosing the type of bearings?

Sir, one doubt I have.
Torque creates twisting. Now if there is twisting how can the shaft rotate?
Because to rotate, there cannot be any resistence from the other end.
