For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards,  not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are.
1 Corinthians 1:26-28

“ Just because people around you don’t believe doesn’t mean what you believe isn’t true.”
And just because the people around you believe, it doesn’t mean it that THEIR beliefs are true.
It’s almost like you need some other, more reliable method for deciding what to believe.

Why does it seem like *despite all lack of proof or answers*, there are 3 human-led groups with 1, 000, 000, 000+ people each that believe in DIFFERENT Gods. So 1/3 of them win the eternal lottery, congratulations. Everyone else? Enjoy hell. Seems like a loving God after all!

It seems there is also an element of self-selection. There are very, very smart Christians who are called by God to pastor, or to teach in seminaries. They are just as smart, but their audience is limited. A smart atheist will go into "science" and aspire to teach generations of students for a year, maybe two at the most. They will be able to teach for 3 to 5 hours a week. They do not teach a select group students for years. Most pastors are also very smart, but their audience is more limited. This is why pastors must strive to equip their members. Secondly, pastors deal with a large range of topics. They deal with life-styles, values, behaviors, every person has different issues and concerns. The college professor deals only with his topic. The professor can narrow his time and expertise in depth. Very few professors teach marriage issues, and psychology, and philosophy, and intellectual, and spiritual issues all at the same time. Even a seminary professor will usually teach several topics at the same time.

Where is Almighty God in your equation? Do we save ourselves? Do we really make a choice without the help and direction of the Holy Spirit?

"God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise" - i Corinthians 1.

I have not necessarily found that to be true. Most of these zdx"smart people" I have found to lack many of the "pre tech" skills necessary to survive when crisis hits.

Because we know how to correctly read and interpret the Bible. Jesus and Paul both said the end times would happen before all 12 apostles died. Jesus is a failed apocalyptic prophet and a liar. Therefore not blameless and without sin. Yhwh himself commits all 7 cardinal sins. Christianity is a dying religion. One of thousands that came before it.
