The New LEGO Marvel Mechs SUCK!

What do you guys think? Am I in the minority here? I understand these pieces make it easier to pose, but is it worth it when there is only 3 poses to choose from?

These Evo Mech pieces do have their advantages, making the whole mech easier to pose & being able to rotate at the hips, but at what cost? Let me know your thoughts down below!

I also feel bad for the people who had to buy every infinity war sat just to get a complete infinity gauntlet

The only reason I would recommend getting that Thanos pack is for the completed infinity gauntlet. If you missed out on the infinity war wave, this is a really easy way to get the it. Plus you can attach it to the classic Thanos big fig and have the best of both worlds

I actually modified my rocket suit by getting 2 of them. I made a four booster pack, 2 mega guns, a twin holster for the small guns, and a makeshift “Helmet” to protect the pilot from attacks. I also made 2 regular arms and a spare gun arm out of the leftover parts.

What I like to do for my Miles Mech is to have to have it flip me off.

I bought Rocket's because I need a comic accurate one for my collection. Immediate buyer's remorse when I discovered he doesn't come with a tail, and that the joints are solid. No idea what I can do about the tail since the only other instances are the GotG advent calendar and the Loony Toons' CMF line.

Manged to break apart the incomplete Advent Calendar and build new legs, as well as adding a joint to the left arm.

I personally had joints crumble on me with thanos before but I encourage others to maybe try added new or older pieces and making their own remixed version of these mechs

There is no excuse for mechs that small to not have elbow or knee joints. I can understand why larger mechs don't have knees since it messes with the stability, and adding stable/tight knee joints drives up the price, but stability/loose joints aren't as big of a problem in smaller mechs. Those new pieces wouldn't even have to be changed much, just make them two halves that connect like those technic rachet joints that are used on larger mechs.

As a BIONICLE fan who prefers the Mata and Nuva sets of Toa, I can say that I can live with this level of poseability.

Toas Lewa and Kopaka Mata had the exact same thing going on with their left arms that the Thanos mech has going on with its.

While I agree that these sets feel inferior due to the lack of articulation, I understand why they did it.

Having given these sets to children I saw that they struggled with the mixel joints.

As for the price increase? It's probably because of the larger piece moulds (cockpit, arms), although I think it sucks because while an extra $5 may not be much, to kiddos it certainly can be!

They need to update that piece. I'm thinking a two piece hinge join with a unique part connection. It may not connect with other lego pieces but at least the joint can move. It can be relegated to just joints.

Wish they did made them in the Nexo Knights mech styles (if anyone remebers them). You could pose the hands, arms, bend the legs and the feet separately. They were sick imo.

I'd get the newer mech sets just to use the Evo "joints" as angled wing attachment parts for custom ships and such.

The new balljoint in the hips is nice.
But the limbs are a major dealbreaker.
I got Ghost Rider the other day just so I could get the claws and hip piece, and I didn't like the mech.
Bike was neat.

I am just seeing this. As someone who has collected all of them the new ones where a big let down as far as the joints go. Although the new style cockpits are for sure better. They let you place the legs evenly. Some of the old sets made you weirdly stack the leg joints so they were off center. ( See the black panther mech)

Im only getting the new one for the nexo knights cockpit piece and the gauntlet
