Dear R. Paul Singh,

I found your video to be very helpful for understanding the mass and energy balances that make up the Multiple Effect Evaporator.

However, I have a specific question related to the Evaporator that is unrelated to the video topic.

I was curious on what would be an acceptable feed in a Multiple Effect Evaporator system. For example, would a toluene phase feed (which has a higher boiling point than water) work in this system, or would issues arise due to the difference in boiling points? And, if so, would you have any suggestions to remedy that?

I appreciate any help that you may provide. And if this question is beyond the scope of the video, I apologize.

I think the total mass balance is not correct since mv1 and mv2 are not separate outlet and are inlet of next unit. So it should not be considered in the total.
