I understand what this Pastor was saying about forgetting the past and pressing onto what lies ahead. But he also said to lay the hurt down on the alter of God. In my way of thinking…there are wounds and trauma of the past that can only be healed by remembering—and giving it to God as we remember. Walking with God through those memories is different than secular psychology and all the therapy without an emphasis on the supernatural healing of the Holy Spirit.

I can testify personally about the power of forgiveness . I came from a 2 parent alcoholic, abusive home. I once hated my parent's and wanted nothing to do with them. I listened to a false preacher talking about just getting them out of my life forever. That was wrong. Love can overcome all thing's. There is hesling in forgiveness. Healing takes time yes, but the beauty of seeing my parent's accept jesus christ as savior was a fabulous blessing. People can change. i had to see them as Jesus did and realized they acted out what was done to them and that they were abused as children as well. End that generational abuse by forgivenes. Let love win.

Me bauticé y me ayudaron mucho cuando pasé con la muerte de mi esposo y el murió en la prisión.
