Young Sheldon's Finale Viewership Reveals Stunning Surprise

After seven seasons on CBS, "Young Sheldon" is well and truly over. The two-part finale, "Funeral" and "Memoir," reached the airwaves on May 16th, solving a major "Big Bang Theory" plot hole while sending the Iain Armitage-led series off on an emotional note. George Cooper Sr. unexpectedly dies of a heart attack, with the Cooper family and their closest friends attending his funeral before subsequently mourning his passing in their own ways. "Memoir" even fast-forwards to a snippet of Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler's post-"Big Bang Theory" life.

I feel like the season finale was made around the following words from Georgie from TBBT S11: “Mom was a mess, Missy was a dumb teenager. I had to take care of everyone.” It’s in that very episode where you get a glimpse of Sheldon realising that the memories he has of his childhood may be under the wrong perception. Young Sheldon and Jim Parsons’ narration is just that - Truly understanding what his childhood meant now that he’s old enough and emotionally mature enough (comparatively speaking lol)

I loved the Sheldon/Amy part of the last episode, but I was so distracted/aggravated by the whole Mary/Baptism sub-plot. Baptists believe in believers Baptism. It is kind of a big deal to them. Perhaps Mary was a closet Church of Christ, they do believe Baptism saves (and Baptists do not).

To me young Sheldon will always be my favorite show 🙏 even that I'm sad the show has ended it was a great journey telling the story of Sheldon and his family the coopers, I am going to miss Sheldon cuz he is one of my favorite characters from The Big bang theory and young Sheldon 😢 I think the Big bang theory and young Sheldon became sort of like a franchise or verse whatever. Anyway I am looking forward to the next chapter of the spin-off Georgie and Mandy 👍👏 and I hope we get to see the Cooper family again pop out Georgie and Mandy

Honesty I would say it was a better sweet send-off or should I say sad ending of young Sheldon 😔. It may be enough be the same but I hope Georgie and Mandy spin-off young Sheldon well hopefully delivered a story 🙏 let's just give it a try I would give it a try to watch Georgie and Mandy

I do believe George Jr’s father in law has done some professional wrestling as the MAD TV rep on WCW, played a Steve Austin rip-off, and Terry Gordy part of the Freebirds in The Iron Claw.

I found the show to be really hard to watch because of young Sheldon. His acting just wasn't it. Felt like more like a cosplay than a performance.

Found it disappointing. The writers didn't seem to know what to do to end the series. Of course, they created a spinoff that I won't be watching.
