not gonna lie, this is the hardest need for speed I've played. coming in 4th-6th almost every race. played almost all need for speeds and i feel like I'm decent at racing, but the physics have a learning curve i gotta adapt to

Another little rule of thumb I use for building cars:
If the stock "tune" is leaning towards grip or drift, that's what the car will prefer. My lotus is set up for grip only and it loves it. But even if I set my rx8 all the way to grip, it'll still tend to break loose.

As someone who's played every NFS since Underground 1... I must say I enjoy this game. I'm only up to the end of the Week 2 Qualifier so A+ cars. But one way I've always been going about it is not only car dependent but location and race type dependent as well.

The way I've done it thats worked so far... Mountain roads and lot of tight twisty bits and mid speed corners tend to work better for drifting cars. High speed and runs that have a lot of sweeping long corners or hard braking and sharp 90 degree turns tend to be better for grip racing on the country side and freeways.

While the City courses with a lot of sharp snap backs and tight sections that are to quick for the drift setup but to slow for the grip setup, tend to be better for a balance of the two... or more the "Brake to drift/grip" that we've had in past NFS.

Having at least 2 cars for each area/style works best...at least for me.

You explained this so well, I peeped that drift was a little bit faster in B class but didn't realize it was so radical. Appreciate you man

Great video Trigger Once I realized grip cornering was possible and started doing it, I improved dramatically. Despite having so much time in NFS Heat, I just haven't yet developed the knack for drifting in this game.

In my B-Class Cuda, I do pretty much drift corners with it. With my A-Class Eclipse, I've taken a hybrid approach where I grip more subtle corners and drift the 90s or hairpins with neutral tuning. For A+ and S class though, it's grip all the way.

Its also worth noting that certain cars have crazy traits to them. My Exige is in Class A and it has insane grip, to the point where I can triple Burst straight into another corner at full tilt and not spin out unless I collide with something.

The downside is that its very twitchy and easy to trigger, meaning it can happen by accident.

Another thing that works for grip cars is when you have some burst nitrous and you find yourself understeering, it can help the car go through the corner like a slot car. It all depends on the car itself though, in the Regera for example, it’ll act like a slot car around the corners which is fantastic but in some cars it will shoot you off the road

Already worked this out myself but props to a good explanation in the video.

Cornering is heavily reliant on the boost or you will get owned online.

Also, use GRIP + Traction Control ON for S and S+

Use DRIFT AND Traction Control OFF for B to A+

This is the first time I EVER had to search up on how to drift in nfs game... not gonna lie the difficulity which I set to intense is really INTENSE for the first race since my stock sh*t car obviously can't keep up with a freaking street racer with already build race car or I'm the one having skill issue in that game 😀

I like the grip mechanics in this game, reminds me of the driving physics of the new Grid games.

Can’t wait for the actual build videos especially for online

Amazing that Need for Speed Unbound finally has more depth in its tuning and handling that there isn't just one universal build for all cars anymore.

Thanks dude! You got the best NFS videos on the internet!

I agree for the most part. My B rank VW beetle is a grip build that wins pretty effectively but on any street race as soon as I bump a sidewalk I lose. How about some car building guides?

Thank you for this video - it literally changed the way I view the lower tier cars now. Much appreciated.

So Burst NOS works quite similarly to Blur’s boost powerup. Good for making abrupt direction changes.

Am i the only one that has a Nostalgia for watching triggers heat build videos and me playing the game in general?

What I did was took the GTR from the third week qualifier put grip tires on almost maxed out an s+ and 90% grip works like a charm.

You can literally have grip builds in Heat if you build your car correctly, for instance, i own a Subaru WRX STI which is AWD, build it with the grip parts you need and it sticks to the road like shit to a blanket!
