This is how stations should be configured here in the US. Having the power in a main cabinet and dispensed as requested is the way to go. A slow charging EV will not be as much of an issue by not taking up a real fast charger cabinet. The overhead cover is another feature that needs to be implemented here in the US. Great station!

Scandinavian countries seem to be leading Europe in the electric revolution. It’s also interesting that Hyundai Kia are using the 800 volt platform as that’s the car that I am most likely to buy next, currently I drive a Kia E Nero.

What do you think about NIO superchargers which provide 500 KW?

I like the idea of smart allocation of charging power! The 400 KW is good for future proofing, i never stop for more then 20 min with the Taycan, you get all the juice you need, in the near future I can see this go down to 10 min.

Will there be some marking on the map of Recharge which chargers support 800V? It is not really clear, as they are branded on the map as 200 kW. Or are these all the 800V supported chargers?

I'm loving all the new Recharge (and other) stations popping up with many load balanced dispensers. Where I on our last Sweden visit at Easter got stuck on 11kW AC in a tiny village as the single 50kW station was down there is now a newly opened 8 stall Recharge station a few blocks away. This time I had plenty of charge already as I'd stopped at another newly opened 4 stall station that had replaced a single 50kW station. Also saw another 4 stall station on the way. Had no idea they had gone in. For the first time I never saw any full stations or broken chargers despite visiting at the largest holiday of the year. Charging in Sweden might be catching up with the EVs on the road there now. In the UK however...

Greenpower has visa payment. No need for rfid, no need for app, but if you do want their app.. put in your licence plate and their camera reads it. That identifies you for the charging. It is under roof as well.
Respect for the bucket so one can clean the windshield though. Small detail, but it does matter.
Meant as constructive critisism.

Kris thanks for this really interesting video. Looks very promising, good work from our neighbours in Finland

Interesting. I guess they can't thin down the cables for a long time for backwards compatibility with 400V vehicles though.

By the way, it's "Current" instead of "Amperage". Amps are just the unit of measurement.

Image a peak rate of 350- 400 kW and holding on to it the most of the charge curve span. That would charge a car in about only 12 minutes

The Roll Royce under the chargers. Kempower for da win.

Future proof, for sure, but maybe too soon.
How long will it for 400kw EV ? untill Solid state battery isbon the market, Lets say 2026.

I hate load balancing. It’s outdated, slow charging cars are dying out. New cars are faster every year. These balanced Chargers can’t max out two egmp cars and they are current Technology. Load balancing is scam to hide inadequate Power supply. If you have enough power you don’t need load balancing.
