The Leftist Agenda of TGC & The Shepherds for Sale Controversy / Gavin Ortlund on Climate Change

In this video I give my take on the Gavin Ortlund controversy surrounding Megan Basham's new book "Shepherds for Sale - how evangelical leaders traded the truth for a leftist agenda." This has been going on for years with Tim Keller's ministry known as The Gospel Coalition.

Once you accept the official government narrative of evolution and that the earth is billions of years old along with manmade climate change being an existential threat to humanity then you undercut the gospel and Scripture in the following ways. # 1 this is a denial of what Moses wrote in Genesis chapter one - # 2 if evolution is true then death existed before sin, this nullifies the gospel in how Christ died for sin in order to conquer sin's penalty which is death (Rom 6:23) and # 3 it denies that the world will end at the final judgment when Christ returns.

I am eternally grateful because the leaders of these fellowships aren't doing it.. And those that should are not doing it They set in comfortable An easy places .. good job great post

Hi my pastors love Keller. I have tried to speak with them but to no avail. This is an otherwise orthodox Presbyterian reformed church, and everything else is great. But on Keller, even though I sent them videos where Keller is soft on homosexuality, and espouses evolutionary thought, they still quote him.

Thank you, Pastor Grant, so much for making this video. I had only recently stumbled upon Gavin Ortlund's YT channel. You have saved me from wasting any more time listening to him. If one cannot believe the 6-day creation event, why would their trust be placed in anything else the scriptures clearly teach? Therefore, how can they be trusted as a sound biblical teacher?

At one time I tried to keep one foot in the secular and one in Christianity and believed the 4 Billion year theory. I no longer buy into any of the worldly beliefs of old earth or climate change. However, since the Bible can be quite close as to the age of the earth, 6124 years, why do even solid fundamental biblical teachers bump that up to 10, 000 years?
