The warnings at an EU summit were some of the most direct in recent weeks as the United States and its NATO allies seek to deter any possible Russian attack on Ukraine and reduce Moscow's margin for surprise. Many NATO allies are also EU member states. France 24 Philip Turle tells us more.

I do hope President Macron restrain the members of the EU and avoid to worsen the situation. The EU need a sensible leader like him!

So EU is considering sanction Russia for them to move troops within their border? If that’s the case, EU should have already sanction the US for moving the troops even outside their border. Why have not you done so EU?

Half of Ukraine speaks Russian. The other half Ukraine. Nato is treating the people in the east like second class citizens. Ukraine needs to vote as to which provinces want to stay Ukraine and which ones don’t. That’s the democratic way.

It is not advertised daily, but the compounded cost of sanctions by the EU against Russia is estimated at over 240 billion, all these resources have been attributed to losses of EU member states, and the total is mounting. There is also a loss we unjustifiably neglect, Russia is more and more immune to this kind of power play, it cost the EU more, and the result (damage) to the Russian economy is getting negligible. EU needs to seek full sovereignty today and become equal in a multi-polarized world, we must promote a European future in a society of different cultural heritages. Brussels show off with sanctions play is a demonstration of shallowness that political elites have no capacity to abandon as political intelligence lost the ground.

Why can't the EU switch its allegiance from the US to Russia?

They are not likely going to attack in the early spring with Rasputitsa going on. That's the Russian 'mud season' basically, it has immobilized quite a few armies in the past century or two.

Ukraine speaks Russian, and why Brussels can't comprehend the fact, that ultimately Ukraine will open to the East, the future is on that vector and not across the ocean where prosperity is measured by Wall Street. And when did this euphoria of invasion come to the surface, the minute NATO Secretary general claimed that is is imperative to have strategic weapons stationed at the Russian doorstep. Cooldown Brussels elites, the market for Europe is to the East, let be economically foresighted, closing doors with sanctions brings us nowhere.
