Internal Resistance and How to Measure it - A Level Physics

This video introduces and explains internal resistance as well as how to measure it for A Level Physics.

Battery and power sources are made of 'stuff' which have their own internal resistance, which we call 'r'. The internal resistance of a battery or a cell is often ignored but sometimes it can't be. Here I show what it looks like if you look inside a battery (you probably shouldn't try this at home - there could be all sorts of dangerous chemicals). I also show you how to measure internal resistance as well as how to calculate internal resistance.

Thanks for watching,

Lewis

How does Terminal PD get reduced when greater I is withdrawn? V=IR, so if I is greater, the V should also be greater. It doesn't make sense to me. Please explain me this one

Could you use a multimeter to find the internal resistance of the battery using the resistance setting?

why is V/I not equal to R(external resistance) since V is actually the p.d across the resistor?

One thing I don't understand is the terminal p.d. Is the terminal p.d the same across the variable resistor?
