Taylormade@AUT: Tutorial on FM (Frequency Modulation)

This tutorial uses visual and graphical techniques to provide a basic understanding of FM without in-depth mathematics.

The effects of altering certain parameters of carrier wave and the modulating wave are shown on the resulting waveform in the time domain and in the frequency domain.

This tutorial uses visuals and a simple worked example to explain three-phase unbalanced star-systems with an ideal neutral wire.

These tutorials are aimed at the first-year undergraduate electrical engineer who is seeking to obtain a grasp of the concepts that does not use calculus or mathematics to explain: the explanations are visually-driven.

As with all these tutorials, an attempt has been made to minimise the maths, and maximise the visual explanation.
