Thanks Richard! The Chamberlain factory was in Welshpool, a suburb of Perth West Australia. I remember standing on our front verandah watching a train of them being driven to the port of Fremantle for

Hi Richard, the green Fordson is from roughly 1939/40 as it still has the wide wings of the pre-war orange Fordson, after 1942 the wings on the back were half the width to save the steel for other wartime production.
There were either high compression or low compression engines, the low compression were easier for the Land Army to swing over but took longer to start. My hobby is the Womens Land Army and the work they did, which started to include the" new fangled" machinery😉

There was some good stuff in the auction. I did all my ploughing with a 5000 and a Ransome 5 furrow semi mounted plough. Reserve on two occasions and had the championship once . I like looking around old machinery. Always great to spot something I actually used in the distant past.

One very muddy field the only bit of grass is what the tractors are sitting on, I assume when they arrived there was no foot traffic they all looked like they where standing on little green hearth rugs.😂

That 4000 looked quite a tidy tractor, you should have treated yourself and Hazza .I have quite a few Fords on the farm and they are good old tractors

friends of my mom and dad Had a Ford 3000, bought new in '75 i think. as a young lad( Harries age) drove it once or twice during haybale stacking on flatbed in early '91/'92, great little run around tractor. Was still used and on their farm till they had to move due to old age them selfs somewhere in the '00's

Great video. True about the arrival of the tractor 1953 on comes the Fergie off goes Hercules. Very sad to see him go as a fifteen year old lad. The downside for the farmer was he had to buy something to deliver the milk. This turned out to be a reliant 3 wheeler with no reverse and motor bike steering. Happy days.

I've learned from the auction visits on the Just a Few Acres Farm channel ( Pete restores old farmal / international tractors) that often to only brand new thing on a new old tractor is the layer of spray paint.

I like listening to what you call different pieces compared to what we call them here. For example, you called it a finger bar mower, here it's called a sickle bar mower. I used to go to a lot of auctions back in my farming days with my dad. We would make a day of it, not looking for anything in particular but now and then we would find A diamond in the rough.

Think they used to call that grey loader a banana loader. Great video

Point of order.
On your opening titles the spelling of "original" in the facebook link is incorrect.

the cab on harrys fav 4000 is a sekura cab, the flaps on the doors are meant to be on it, they also fitted them to mf135’s as well. from a time when cabs were not just ford of mf, could buy a huge rang to fit them back then
