MEAL PREP CONTAINERS: 4 awesome containers that aren't plastic

When it comes to meal prep containers, I look for containers that are durable and reusable, can be used in both cold storage and warmed up and are non-toxic. That means no plastic. So my favorite meal prep containers (or general food storage containers) are all made from glass and silicone - and I use these for meal prepping healthy meals every week. Enjoy the video!

I’ve been slowly saving jars from foods I buy including nut butters, spaghetti sauce, olives, roasted red peppers etc. I run them through the dishwasher and store them.

Gosh. This really helps, i am to be Zero waste or close to it as well as effective and sustainable. This helps me so much. I am going to make life better. I will be able to use the bags for snacking in my nursing shift, better for my healthy snacking. I will use the rest fir meal prep. Very happy.

I just retired and am excited to finally have the time to organize, meal prep and eat healthier. I just love your recipes and have made several to date and and so far we love everything ❤️. I own just as many as you do. For mason jars I prefer to use the brand of Ball and buy the plastic screw on white lids. I bought a set of glass containers from Sams that have ok lids sometimes I have a hard time closing but for the most part they work for me. Not as great as the Glass Lock brand containers. I also have a few Pyrex containers that I bought individually at Target that have snap on lids. Those lids close much better than the set of glass containers that I bought Sams.

I cannot stand to put pots and pans in my fridge. I put everything in a Stasher bag or container. Keeps me organized.

A few seconds into the video and I wanted to mention how you are KILLING the game ✊ ❤️ my biggest issue wasn’t that I couldn’t meal prep, I just wasn’t well equipped because I had Tupperware bowls the size to feed a family at the dinner table instead of single serve containers. I invested in mason jars and different size containers. TJ max and target is a good place for Tupperware and the container store is also good for storing ingredients like vegetables and fruits ☺️😊
