Darksign is an original album inspired by the music of Dark Souls and the upcoming Dark Souls 3. Ever since Demon's Souls, I have been captivated by these games like many others have and look forward to them like no other. I had a great time writing Borne in Blood and I was ecstatic with the response it got. Darksign is bigger and better than ever so sit back, close your eyes and prepare to listen!

Shnabubula - Kingdom of the Fallen God
An arrangement of 'Chosen Cinder' and 'Chaos Ember Dragon'.

Thou who art undead art chosen... In thine exodus from the Undead Asylum, maketh pilgrimage to the land of Ancient Lords. When thou ringeth the bell of awakening, the fate of the undead thou shalt know.

Its been seven years of trials, heartbreak, and one exhausting journey and this song still takes me back to that single trainride all those years ago, a simple, beautiful memory summoned forth from my mind every time.

First thought I had was that this would be perfect for a soulsborne ending. Alex, your work is truly astonishing, I'm overwhelmed by feels.

I love imagining fights to go along with these themes.

It was.. a type of peace. Full of sorrow - the knowledge that the World was branded with the Darksign.
Yet also full.. heh.. of Hope. Hope. Had someone told him that he would Find Hope, he would have laughed.

He could sense that.. perhaps this wasn't over. Not entirely. The Lord Souls may be Reborn, the world may be cleansed and given another chance.
And yet.. he sighed. All of our creations, lives, memories would cease to exist.
..Memories?! Was he truly thinking about such things now, at the end of all things? Kehehe.. Well, such is the nature of humanity.

Perhaps this is the peace that was talked about in stories and tales.. a sinister, longing peace. One to endure and embrace. If it was so..
Then he welcomed it.

ever since i first heard this song while taking the train and admiring the beauty of nature while sitting in the train(it was a day with a clear blue sky and the sun was shining it wasnt to hot or cold it was exctly perfect) it has this really nostalgic ring to it for me especially since that was one of the days when i realised that a chapter of my life was ending and a new one would beginn in just a few months with me moving away to another city...and for some reason this song with the beautiful scenery i witnessed for the first time in forever how actually stunningly beautiful the nature in my home country is and that its going to be exactly that stunning beauty that i will miss most about...ever since that day this song everytime i listen to it i get those pictures back into my head :)

I never want to forget about this man
Never to let him drift out of my mind. You sir have done the world a service with your amazing talent. It's a shame you cant be a part of the songwriting team for fromsoftware. I have never heard music anything like this before and it is possibly some of the best I have ever listened to

This is, hands down, perfect for the credits of Dark Souls 3. Somber, melancholic, sad... what the series really are. I almost cried too. I love Alex's work. He should be the music developer for the next souls game. Also, this and Souls of Lords are my favorite.

Hearing this song I thought of the final battle in a story I have been making (but not writing sadly) in which the main character fights against what she has hated the whole story... becoming a mindless being, a spawn of corruption that just brings end to everything. It is a touching story, but the ending (and story in general) is very complex and hard-to-understand. I might write it some time; I'll just have to listen to Alex's music and I'll paraphrase every idea the best I can.

This is why in my school days and to this very day i have such a passion for Music, while i could never get to where Alex is right now i felt that passion to create something through music to give off such emotions, to be able to tell a story through music alone, And this one in particular is literally perfect, a song that could of been used as the credits for Dark souls 3 if it wanted to be, a song which gives off so many emotions from a struggle you've had all this time to the fact that this is now the end of your story or at least for now and this music departs you off from the world of Dark souls from the world of fire or Dark, back to reality with a new perspective and inevitably touched by the passion the game gave in everything it did back to you the watcher, and despite this little ramble i spoke all i have got to say is Alex, as a musician with the passion for expressing oneself through music i congratulate you on making your own masterpieces. you keep up the good work and the passion in everything you do.Souls related or not.

Another lovely piece from Alex Roe...
I have no idea how he manage to sustain,  such deep feelings (which perfectly suits to end of "Age of Fire")
This is more than just a "good work"... It is almost hypnotizing...
Thank you...

This could be the credits' soundtrack. It sounds like your player has been lifted from a great weight and has vanquished the Lords and claimed there souls, only to find the corrupted, cindered, final foe of your story and ended its suffering and took its place to save humanity and let them have bright futures ahead of themselves...
