Tejasvi Surya Indigo Row | Civil Aviation Minister Clarifies on BJP MP’s Emergency Door Incident

Civil Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has clarified over the incident involving BJP MP Tejasvi Surya, who allegedly opened the emergency door of an Indigo plane. Scindia has confirmed that Surya has apologised for this incident and that he opened the emergency door by mistake. The controversy does not seem to die down any time soon as the opposition slammed the BJP for a 'coverup'. Watch this video to know more.

Tell me one thing isn't the airplane emergency door automated? Sometimes you can manually open it as well during emergencies but in this case if it opened "By mistake" how could you have let that flight take off? What if it would've opened up "By mistake" again in the air? Who would've been blamed then? This is such a childish statement. Mehne tho nahi kiya, mistake se ho gaya? Bache log kehte hai yeh sab. Of course the aircraft cant take off with the door open. The answer he needs to provide is not that "he also said sorry" but rather an explanation of the intentions of the person who opened an emergency exit which is unlawful, as only crew members and authorized personnel are allowed to do so. Tomorrow we will have another person who opens the cockpit door by mistake and then says he/she is sorry. RIDDIKULUS!

I am a Kannadiga and I am ashamed to see Tejasvi Surya in the cabinet.. There were a lot more worthy leaders. But BJP wanted a useless guy in their cabinet.. In this case, even a young boy would know not to open a plane door even by accident.. Why bring a young boy who doesn't have common sense in the cabinet when there are better people like Tejaswini Ananth Kumar?
