I'm not playing this game, but I played enough mmos to understand the scale of battle. This is something seriously enormous right there.

I was part of this...had a Titan.. cant tell you how many hours we spent grinding to get it and lost it in under an hour but we took down two before we fell.. I'll remember this battle forever.

The really awesome part is that in a way, everyone in the game was likely involved. I was sitting in a cormorant as a noob, mining some asteroids in hisec a month before. That ore I mined could have been used to finish the construction of one of the Titans, which could have destroyed a few capitals, which could have destroyed a few subcapitals. The entire game is based on the Butterfly Effect, skills, and isk.

Wait .. the debris stays out there forever? That's kinda cool.

The fact that the wrecked ships are still drifting there in-game is damned cool. It makes it kinda haunting. Imagine jumping into that system, not knowing about this fight, and the first thing you see is a ship graveyard. That's damned cool. It adds history and weight to the world that you just can't get if things de-spawn after a period of time...

The War is over now.   CFC pulled the plug on its efforts in the South a few weeks after B-R5RB and redeployed to its Northern home regions.  RUS block then collapsed due to the rug being pulled out from under them.  N3 now controls all the Southern SOV regions (including the B-R5RB system) and the RUS block has been stomped out almost entirely from the area.  In effect, they won the battle but lost the war.  Good fights.

Some people laugh at EVE players for "wasting" years of their time to become a master of this game and command the biggest and best ships.

I personally congratulate them. They took part in the biggest space battle that will probably take place in my lifetime, so I have to give them that.

I can easily see this being made into a movie

Where were you when Titanomachy happened?

I'm proud to say, "I was there".

Over 7000 participating players, 75 Titans lost to the ages, 370 Dreadnaughts crushed under withering fire, 13 Super-Carriers turned into dust, 117 Carriers blasted to bits, and over 3000 smaller ships in the course of 21 hours of non-stop conflict, costing over 11 Trillion ISK. How many MMO's in the world could boast numbers like that? How many people can take part in massive conflicts that determine the rise and fall of empires in video games with thousands of players, where every single other warrior on the field is a living breathing person making tactical decisions? Coordinating with other tactical decisions? That turn into a massive strategy? That turns into a resounding victory or a crushing defeat?

That is why: I. Love. This. Game.

I remember logging on while the battle raging, & everyone was talking about it in game all trying to get real time news on who was winning.I remember there so many people, who weren't part of either Corp coalition, just trying to get into the system to watch it first hand only to die or lag out. Jita was going fucking crazy during those first few hours. Once word got out of how large the battle was becoming alot of the market people were trying to determine when it best to sell or buy as the battle was raging. They were trying to take full advantage of the outcome of the battle to their advantage. I also heard after the battle that some corps had mobilized their own fleets just in case something were too happen and they had to get involved. The whole sandbox theory about EVE definitely held true that day.

As a small fighter pilot in the middle of the fight, it truly gives you too much pressure cause mass destruction weapons, specially the doomsday are being fired everywhere. Luckily, I survived. But we lost B-R. So sad...

I am the Fleet Commander who started the battle of B-R on the side of N3.  I am a 10 year veteran of Eve Online.  I love this game and the community both of which are truly unique and amazing. Eve is a game that challenges you at all times and nothing is easy but the reward always feels worth. There is no other game in any genre that can deliver the experience that Eve does. To those on the sidelines wondering if Eve is for them I say it is.  Eve has something for everyone even if you don't like PVP you can still do so many things in the game that make giant impacts without ever firing a weapon. So please come join our community and become part of the most epic MMO ever created.
