Forced Abscond From a Bee Tree Yappy Beeman Style.

Having some bee fun in North Alabama removing Italian honey bees from a tree. A honey bee swarm moved in a few days before and started setting up anew home. Yappy beeman used a process to remove the bees called a forced abscond or as we call it, a Forced Yapscond. By drilling some holes above and below the honey bee colony, Yappy tries to drive the bees out in a long process using smoke and Honeybgone.

Yappy Beeman preforms live honey bee removals in Alabama and relocates them to apiaries away from residential areas so they can rebuild and thrive as a honey bee colony producing honey. Yappy is an Alabama Beekeepers association member that has preformed over 500 live bee removals. Yappy, with the help of his great friend and mentor Jp The Beman has learned many ways to remove bees safely for the bees and homeowners alike.
Thank you for stopping by yappybeemans YouTube channel. Please subscribe for updates on his future honey bee removal videos.

I don't get tired of this video.
I'm working an old oak. Been working it for a week. The bees are orientating to the hive body. I'm hoping to have them all in the box in a week or so. (Using a trap put cone). I'd love to find a new swarm and try this method.
Thank you again for your video.

I really appreciate your commentary about the bees. The way you describe them, they are little technicians, each with their own individual tasks. It’s fascinating how you’re able to manage their behavior to get them from a bad situation into a better one.

I realize this is an older video, but I have to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SHIRT YOUR WEARING IN THIS VIDEO. I have a 17 year old disabled, terminally ill son who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. We deeply appreciate and love all firefighters! Their non stop yearly efforts to Fill the Boot means more to families like mine then they will ever truely know! Loved this video as well. Always a treat! Much ❤ from Oklahoma!

You should recommend to the homeowner to fill the gap in the tree up with cement to prevent another hive from moving in.❤❤❤❤

I actually like your videos. You are saving the bees and giving them a forever home if they like it. I can't believe that people would not like this. I know if the bees came to their home and made a hive they would probably be the first ones to call someone to get rid of them or worse yet try to annihilate them. Some peoples chillin's. Have a great day

Some just show the carpentry, thank you for showing. The bees. What they do is why I am watching. What you do with them is why I am watching.

Wow Cool. That spot is right where I thought the queen was because of the way the bees were moving there. I can't believe I spotted her location😁

I am new to your channel and find your videos very interesting. Love the bee aspects, including the bee March and you catching the queen and not getting stung. Don’t have my own bees as I my allergic to them, but I love watching your videos, keep it up and keep going. Bee safe, yappy.

There’s probably hundreds of thousands of bees here and no gets stung, however for me there’s only one single bee floating around and I get stung!

Good idea on keeping your newer hives away from the established ones you have, until you see how well they keep the other bugs out of their hive. A lot less work for you and the established colonies. A lot of keepers I've watched, capture a swarm somewhere and immediately move it right in with the rest of their bees. Your way makes a lot more sense.
