Just a tip as well, ginger tends to grow more in a line. So a rectangular pot vs a deep circular pot might work better for those who are growing there own. I grow ginger in a windowsill pot and have 2 nice big ginger plants in it. Just a tip that might be useful 🙂

We are definitely going to try this during our experiment! We're trying to become more self-sufficient gourmets... So homegrown ginger would be perfect!

I live in a similar climate to California (South Australia). Only when the summer got really, really hot did my ginger root finally push out shoots after months of sitting dormant in pot.

Here's a tip: if you have ginger that's going mouldy and can't eat it, you can plant it and it might grow. That's why I did with mine.

Wow!  Those are amazingly healthy, young gingers...they are at it's best when eaten at this stage.  Your videos are well done; very clear and informative...we enjoy learning from you.

I liked how you keep the music to a minimum. Even if it's good music, I find it can be distracting in an instructional video. Beautiful ginger!

Great harvesting tips. I am definitely letting my plants grow to large in my pots. I have been waiting for them to die back and they are getting really tall. Some plants are almost 2 feet tall. I didn't realize until I saw your video that I could have harvested some while the rest kept growing. Thank you.

Sir,
I am fascinated by almost all ur videos I have watched. I live in Mysore, Southern India. I have terrace garden measuring 1200 sq ft. I grow my veggies in containers and grow bag s. My potting soil recipe is one part of Cocopeat ( available in plenty), 1/2 part of Leaf compost, 1/2 part of vermicompost ( both are home made) and one part of soil .Results are awssome. Peatmoss not available. Right now I have Brinjal, cabbages, beans, tomatoes and chillies. I harvested plenty of round radishes long and round, (red, purple and white). I had a good harvest of ginger a month ago.
once again nice watching ur videos.
looking forward for more as your garden tips was very helpful.
regards,
