Noticed that this doesn't work on a brand new phone. Image got corrupted when flashing Magisk. Had to complete the phone setup and redo the install of 9.0 to get it to work correctly. Got stuck on the G screen, then crashed out originally.

On your older Pixel 2 rooting instructional videos, you root using Magisk Manager and patching the boot image, then flashing the patched boot image using fastboot commands... Can I do the same with Pie or magisk 16.7? I would go to Magisk Manager and switch update channel to beta, which then shows 16.7 as available.

As well, does using the "flash-all.bat" script method (while editing out "-w" in the script) to flash the new factory image without wiping the phone's storage still work?

When I want a clean install coming von Oreo, without losing my internal data, is it possible to delete system, cache/dalvik and data via twrp and then install Pie with your tutorial? I am not a great fan of dirtyflashing complete new android versions.

Completed everything but in magisk manager it says Latest is 16.0, Installed is 16.7 and safety net doesn't pass the test.

stuck in G screen then crash to twrp.Had to use magisk uninstaller .No matter 16.7 or 17.3 it crashes.
