Sperbereule - Northern Hawk Owl

Die Sperbereule ist heimisch in Skandinavien, bei uns in Deutschland gibt es sie eigentlich nicht. Wahrscheinlich vom Sturm abgetrieben hielt sich diese Eule ein paar Wochen an der Norddeutschen Küste auf. Inzwischen scheint sie nicht mehr dort zu sein und findet hoffentlich den Weg zu ihren Artgenossen zurück. Herzlichen Dank an die Entdeckerin dieser seltenen Schönheit!

The Northern Hawk Owl is native to Scandinavia, but normally does not exist here in Germany. Probably driven away by the storm, this owl spent a few weeks on the North German coast. In the meantime, it seems that it's not longer there and I hope it will find the way back to its fellow species.
