This is an interesting Strat. Cards are pretty important to corvid since they love crafting, but in the early game, this could absolutely be used to get your birds shifted around the map. One of th biggest drawbacks to the birds is not being able to have your troops organised into blobs easily, and this fixes that in what that seems efficient. People can still smack your stuff down if they want to, but since you are possibly moving slower up th points track doing this, you are more likely to be ignored. Might give this a go in my next game as the crows.

Don't overlook move using the Ferry on the Lake map to get an extra card draw per turn, which lets you Exert indefinitely while being able to Recruit each turn. It also helps Corvids keep pressure on the Lake clearings. It doesn't matter too much where you Recruit as long as you are placing 1-2 plots each turn. And, you can also get fed cards through wrong guesses, which is more common if you have more face down plots. One can also take break from plotting to do a bunch of attacks, especially if it gets points or triggers a penalty like Price of Failure, of course. Ferry is amazing for Corvids.

Also, Boat Builders is huge for Corvids on the Lake map. Not only does it help with maintaining a Ferry monopoly if someone tries to shut down your card draw, it also means that Raid tokens in a lake clearing have 5 or 6 adjacent clearings for the spread.

It didn't occur to me to Extract so early. I figured you needed to get cards early for recruiting options.
