My dad got a sailboat when I was a teenager. There's nothing like it in the world. Flying in the wind with the rails in the water. It's the most exciting and peaceful feeling ever

I was stationed in Beaufort SC early 80s. Was sitting on Hilton Head beach when i first heard this song, sipping wine and watching the waves come in. When i hear it i feel young again and nothings impossible.

I'm 19 years old. I've heard this song once or twice when I was younger(about 10 years old), but I never listened to the entire song. This morning, while I was doing some school work, I saw it come up on my Spotify app. I played it, and I immediately felt at ease. This song makes me feel not so alone anymore. I can't stop listening to it. I can't imagine how the older generations felt when they heard this song during their teen years. This song transports me. It's a beautiful work of art.

I Heard this when it was released back in 79. I’d just left school in the uk and joined the merchant navy at 16 years old.
So many different careers since then with all life’s twists and turns, but when i hear it, to this day it conjures up deeply held memories of new and exciting times, such as standing at the bow of the ship i was on, taking me to the states for the very first time. Still a few miles out from Port Everglades i remember being transfixed, watching flying fish skim out of the bluest ocean i’d ever seen with a sky to match.

Love that song. I was the military when that song first hit the charts. I lived in San Diego, CA for four years in the mid 80s. I remember seeing sailing boats and yachts leaving San Diego Harbor and Mission Bay on many a sunny day going out into the Pacific Ocean and seeing them out on the ocean from the beach. I was in my mid 20s, newly married, and enjoying life. I'm still enjoying life. Your video Jan just brings back a lot of good and happy memories of living in warm sunny San Diego.
